Fire & Burn Permits

The snow is gone.  Time to get a permit.  You can obtain a burn permit at the firehouse from 8am – 4 pm, or by going to https://nh.burnsafeamerica.com/.  There is a fee for using the online system.  For more information, please go to the Fire Department website:  http://www.new-hampton.nh.us/fire.asp for more information, or call 603-744-2735.  Remember to be fire safe.

Dog License Reminder

If your dog is over 3 months old, it must be licensed by April 30th.  IMPORTANT - be sure to bring your rabies certificate!  

Taxpayer Assistance - Low & Moderate Income Homeowners Property Tax Relief

The Low & Moderate Income Homeowners Property Tax Relief program was designed to lessen the economic burden of the State Education Property Tax on certain at-risk taxpayers.  Single homeowners making up to $37,000 per year and married homeowners making up to $47,000 per year can apply for relief from the state.

Applications for the Low and Moderate Income Homeowners Property Tax Relief are accepted only during the statutory filing period - after May 1, but no later than June 30.  The law allows 120 days for processing from the date of receipt of your completed application. 

Granite State residents can find more information about the Low and Moderate Income Homeowners Property Tax Relief program and review the status of their application on NHDRA’s website. NHDRA’s Taxpayer Services Division is available to answer all filing questions. Contact the Taxpayer Services Division by phone at (603) 230-5920, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
